About Metin247

Who we are

Metin247 is an independent community project made by and for players of Metin2 private servers. We love the classic grind: Metin stones, boss rotations, bonus switching, alchemy and the long road to a polished character. Our goal is simple: make it easier to find a server that suits your style and to learn the game without wading through scattered forum threads.

We are an unofficial fan hub. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Webzen, Gameforge or any private server. Metin2 and related names belong to their respective owners.

The launch edition

What you see today is the launch edition. It is a static website with a handful of sections, and we want to be upfront about what that means:

• The server directory contains illustrative sample listings. They show how the directory will look and work, and they should not be read as real servers or real data.
• We do not show player counts, uptime figures, votes or ratings, because we do not collect them yet.
• Player guides are written by hand and describe general, widely known concepts. Private servers change values often, so always check your own server's wiki or rules.
• There are no accounts, no logins, no payments, no trading and no downloads on this site.

What is planned

These items are plans, not features. None of them exist yet, and timing depends on the time volunteers can give:

• A richer server directory with filters for rates, class balance and playstyle, based on information supplied by server admins.
• Player-friendly tools such as a simple checklist and planners for common progression tasks.
• A voting system, only once we can make it fair and resistant to abuse.
• A marketplace section, which is marked as coming soon and is still only an idea.
• More guides covering progression, raid strategy, crafting and safety.

How we work

We aim to be upbeat, clear, practical and honest. We will not promote cheating, botting, exploiting, real-money trading or any way around a server's anti-cheat. We encourage safe habits: never share your password, be wary of fake clients and malware, and only download a client from a server's official site, at your own risk.
