‘My Babies Need This to Survive’: Jesy Nelson has issued a desperate plea for help after her car—containing crucial hospital equipment for her seriously ill twin daughters—was stolen from outside her home, prompting the singer to offer a £10,000 reward for its return.

Jesy Nelson has issued a desperate plea for help after her car—containing crucial hospital equipment for her seriously ill twin daughters—was stolen from outside her home, prompting the singer to offer a £10,000 reward for its return.

The former Little Mix star, 34, revealed that her black Defender was taken from her driveway in the early hours, along with vital medical supplies she relies on daily to care for her daughters, Ocean and Story.

Sharing her distress on Instagram, Jesy urged followers to come forward with any information. She explained that the car, bearing the registration JJ73SSY, may have been seen in the Chelmsford area after being stolen from Brentwood, Essex. She stressed just how urgent the situation is, saying the vehicle contains essential hospital equipment that her girls “really need.”

The emotional appeal comes as Jesy continues to care for her 11-month-old twins, who were diagnosed earlier this year with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA1)—a rare and severe condition that weakens muscles and can drastically shorten life expectancy without early treatment.

Opening up about the diagnosis in her documentary Life After Little Mix, Jesy has since used her platform to raise awareness and campaign for newborn screening across the UK. She has spoken candidly about the heartbreak of receiving a late diagnosis, revealing that it means her daughters will never be able to walk.

Despite recent progress—where plans were announced to screen over 400,000 babies in England starting October 2026—Jesy admitted the update feels “bittersweet.” She explained that only certain areas will initially offer the testing, calling it unfair and describing it as a “postcode lottery” that could leave many babies unprotected.

She said all babies deserve equal access to life-saving screening and vowed to keep pushing for nationwide implementation. Jesy also thanked supporters who helped her petition reach over 100,000 signatures, meaning the issue will now be debated in Parliament.

Amid her advocacy, the theft has added another devastating blow. Just hours before the incident, Jesy had shared a glimpse of a peaceful moment with her daughters during a seaside drive—making the loss feel even more cruel.

Despite the challenges, Jesy remains determined. She previously shared that continuing to film her Prime Video series during such a painful time was a conscious decision, believing there is a reason for everything and hoping to use her story to drive change.

Speaking about her daughters’ condition, she explained how SMA causes muscles to weaken and deteriorate over time, affecting breathing and swallowing. Without treatment, children with the condition may not survive beyond the age of two.

Even so, Jesy holds onto hope. She described her daughters as incredibly strong and resilient, saying she truly believes they can defy the odds.
