Scarlett Moffatt is pregnant! The I’m A Celeb star announces she is expecting her second child after a heartbreaking miscarriage and an emotional fertility journey
Scarlett Moffatt has shared a deeply emotional new chapter in her family story, revealing that she is expecting her second child with fiancé Scott Dobinson.
The 35-year-old former I’m A Celebrity winner announced the happy news in a sweet video on Monday night, telling fans that after everything she and Scott have been through, they still cannot quite believe their family is growing once again.
In her touching post, Scarlett wrote: “We honestly can’t believe we’re writing this… After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing.”
She went on to say: “One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he’s going to be a big brother. And if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that he is going to be the most amazing big brother.”
Sharing just how overwhelmed they feel, Scarlett added: “We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock… Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible.”
The announcement has struck an emotional chord, especially given the difficult road Scarlett has previously spoken about when it came to growing her family. Before welcoming son Jude in June 2023, she had already endured a challenging four-year fertility journey.
And only recently, Scarlett heartbreakingly revealed that she and Scott had suffered a miscarriage in late 2024 — a loss that left them both shattered.
Speaking during a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity, Scarlett opened up about that painful experience, admitting that she and Scott “laid in bed crying” after losing the baby they had already begun imagining a life with.
She said: “After Jude was born, we tried again and got quite far on and miscarried and it was just… I remember Scott’s mum and dad took Jude for the day, and me and Scott just laid in bed crying.”
Describing the grief of losing not just a pregnancy, but the future they had pictured, Scarlett said: “You imagine them running downstairs at Christmas together. You like… imagine it, you know. It is hard. It’s awful.”
In the Bush Telegraph, she reflected even more honestly on that pain, saying: “When you lose a baby in that way, you’re sort of mourning a life that you imagined. It’s just really sad.”
Scarlett also explained that after the miscarriage, the heartbreak became so overwhelming that she wondered if she could cope with trying again at all.
She recalled telling Scott: “I just don’t think I can handle the heartbreak any more. I think we should stop. We’ve got Jude, so let’s enjoy him.”
She then spoke movingly about others going through the same pain, adding: “Anyone that goes through that, my heart breaks for them, and I just think it’s so brave when people then continue the journey because it is soul-destroying.”
Her latest baby joy comes after earlier struggles surrounding Jude’s birth too. Scarlett previously revealed that she suffered significant blood loss during labour, while baby Jude was born early at 35 weeks and 5 days and later needed support in NICU.
Despite all of that, Scarlett’s new announcement feels even more poignant — a story of hope after loss, and of a family that never stopped believing in another miracle.
The sweet reveal included a scan photo, a tiny baby grow, and an adorable moment showing Jude reading a newspaper with the words “another miracle coming soon” across the front.
Scarlett and Scott, who got engaged in 2023 just months after welcoming Jude, are now preparing not only for their wedding next year, but also for the arrival of their newest little one.
