Smirking Bannister was spotted vaping in South London but was back behind bars after breaking rules in his halfway house.
It is understood alcohol was found in his room at a bail hostel in South London.
It had been feared Bannister could target Cheryl again — having already served three prison terms for trying to get to the star.
