Marriage Collapses After Bones Producer Is Linked by Name in Epstein Records

Singer Brooke Josephson has announced she is divorcing her husband after his name surfaced in the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Recently released documents uncovered frequent communication between film producer Barry Josephson and the pedophile, with women and money among the topics discussed.

These included an email exchange in 2011, where Josephson, 69, told Epstein: ‘I have “the” girl,’ adding, ‘Young, attractive, insane rack.’

Josephson said the woman had been ‘smart, although not a genius, but very efficient, will do anything, and tight lipped period end of story,’ according to the documents released by the Department of Justice last month.

On Saturday, Brooke, 46, announced she is divorcing Josephson, the executive producer of the TV series Bones, with whom she has two children. The couple separated in December 2024, and court docs filed in Los Angeles indicate it was Barry who initially filed for the split at that time.

Brooke announced the news on Instagram, saying she was ‘prepared to share a personal update … in light of recent events in the news this week’. She added that she ‘was not aware of Barry’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein during [their] entire marriage.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to both parties for further comment on the story.

The exchanges came years after Epstein pleaded guilty to solicitation of prostitution and solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18 in 2008.

In a February 2013 email, Josephson told Epstein: ‘Casting girls for my pilot on Monday if he wants to stop by my office :).’

When Epstein, in vain, requested that specific women be cast in shows Josephson produced, according to the DoJ documents, Josephson told Epstein he would ‘do anything to make amends’ when he was unable to use his clout to make it happen.

‘The whole auditioning process is brutal, it’s harsh, it’s filled with disappointment,’ Josephson explained to Epstein, noting it was even a difficult task to get his then-spouse, Brooke, a small role on Bones in 2007.

Josephson also borrowed $120,000 from Epstein in 2011 and $215,000 in 2013, both of which were repaid, according to the documents.

After evening out the second loan, Josephson told Epstein in an email: ‘I am overwhelmed by your friendship.’
