Rodeo star Kelsie Domer and her husband Ryan are mourning the tragic loss of their 3-year-old daughter Oaklynn Rae.
Oaklynn died on Thursday, Feb. 19, an obituary shared by Harrell Funeral Home and the Lanman Funeral Home confirmed.
Despite not publicly speaking out themselves, both Kelsie and Ryan have reshared multiple posts from others regarding their beloved daughter’s tragic death on social media.
Oaklynn died in a “freak” accident involving one of their horses, when the animal fell onto the toddler and her mom, Kelsie, according to Rodeo Life. Taste of Country also reported that Oaklynn had died following a tragic accident involving a horse.

Kelsie — who is a 10-time Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) world champion — shared some “Be The Light” pink memorial caps that are available to buy in Oaklynn’s memory on Facebook. She also reposted prominent rodeo journalist Kendra Santos’ tribute, which included funeral details. Ryan also shared the posts, as well as the obituary, on Facebook.
Oaklynn’s funeral service will take place on Thursday, Feb. 26, in Dublin, Texas, with a graveside service following the next day on Friday, Feb. 27, in Cherokee, Oklahoma, per Santos’ post and the obituary shared online.
“Oaklynn packed a lot in her short time with us,” the obituary read. “Traveling the rodeo circuit all over the U.S., hitting the practice pen with mom and dad, and loving her family with all her heart.”
“She loved frogs, horses, everybody’s puppies, going to ‘yodeos,’ and hanging out with all her friends. She did not know a stranger and lit up the room the minute she made her grand entrance,” the post added.
Company Simply Equine & K9, which specializes in the overall health of horses and dogs, was among those paying tribute to Oaklynn on social media. Kelsie has been a Simply Equine team member for four years, according to the company’s website.

“Our hearts are shattered beyond words,” they shared alongside an Instagram montage clip showing Oaklynn with animals and her family. “Sweet Oaklynn gained her angel wings far too soon. Please continue praying for Kelsie, Ryan, her family and everyone that loved this precious soul,” the caption added.

The company continued, “We don’t always understand God’s plan… but we hold onto faith that she is being held in His arms,” adding a Bible verse and Taylor Swift’s track “Never Grow Up,” from her 2010 album Speak Now.
Kelsie and Ryan both reshared a video posted by Taormino Performance Horses on their Instagram Stories, showing them putting pink flowers onto a horse, writing, “For Oaklynn,” alongside a pink hearts emoji.
“Your baby girl is with us today, Kels and Ryan 💕,” the caption read.

Kelsie also reposted a tribute from fellow breakaway roper [an event which aims to rope a calf as quickly as possible], Haley Sage Wright, with her saying that the family had “got our pink on for Oaklynn !!”
“Pink in honor of the toughest little cowgirl,” Haley added, alongside an angel wing and white love heart emoji.
