TIME HAS STOPPED — AND REGRET IS SETTING IN As the search for her missing mother drags on, Savannah Guthrie is reportedly paralyzed by fear, replaying moments she wishes she could relive. Sources say everything else has faded away — career, spotlight, routine — replaced by a single, haunting thought: what if she’d said or done something differently? Each passing hour now feels heavier than the last.

Police say Nancy Guthrie ‘didn’t go willingly’ and her disappearance is being treated as a crime

US news anchor Savannah Guthrie thanked supporters for their prayers after her “beloved” mother was abducted and pleaded: “Bring her home.”

Arizona law enforcement officials suspect Nancy Guthrie, 84, “didn’t go willingly” when she vanished from her house outside Tucson.

Journalist Guthrie, a host of NBC’s Today show, broke her silence on Instagram writing: “We believe in prayer.

“We believe in voices raised in unison, in love, in hope. we believe in goodness.

“We believe in humanity. above all, we believe in Him.

“Thank you for lifting your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our dearest Nancy, a woman of deep conviction, a good and faithful servant.

“Raise your prayers with us and believe with us that she will be lifted by them in this very moment.”

Guthrie continued her post by quoting the Bible verse Isaiah 26:3: “He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord”, before concluding, “Bring her home.”

At a press conference Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told CBS News: “We believe 100 per cent right now she could not have walked away from that home.

“I believe she was abducted, yes. She didn’t walk from there. She didn’t go willingly. We don’t believe that.”

Mrs Guthrie was last seen at her home on Saturday night, when she was visited by her children, and was reported missing on Sunday afternoon.

She has limited mobility and could not have left her home unaided, Mr Nanos told the media.

He said her disappearance was being treated as a crime.

Mr Nanos later expanded on his remarks in an interview with CBS to say he believes she was abducted.

Guthrie’s family was especially worried because she needs to take daily medication.

“She’s 84, she needs her meds, her family needs her too,” he added, imploring the public to send in tips.

“This is not dementia-related, she is as sharp as a tack. The family wants everybody to know this isn’t somebody who just wandered off.”
