In case you missed it (doubtful!), Brooklyn Beckham just released a multi-page statement confirming ongoing reports that he’s been feuding with his parents, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham. So, why did he decide to speak out now?
“There has been a massive breakdown in trust,” a source tells Page Six, adding that Brooklyn reached his breaking point “last week.”
“From Brooklyn and [wife] Nicola [Peltz’s] perspective they have tried everything they can to repair the relationship privately with David and Victoria, they’ve tried to talk it out, have tried to have meetings with them, but ultimately in the end they just didn’t trust them anymore,” the insider says. “They’d had enough. This ultimately has become a huge power struggle between two powerful families.”
Apparently, Brooklyn “just doesn’t want to deal with it anymore,” with the source saying “They’ve had it and just want to move on in their lives. Last week was the last straw, they just couldn’t handle it anymore.”

Another source tells People, “They just wanted to quietly live their lives and be married but after reading enough of the relentless inaccuracies about Nicola, a family member had had enough and wanted to set the record straight last year. And then the Beckhams had plenty of time to make amends and try and fix the damage and instead they continued to push these false narratives, and Brooklyn and Nicola are just sick of it. Brooklyn knows his truth and was ready to speak it.”
In his statement, Brooklyn accused his mom of hijacking his first dance, and said—among other things—”My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding.” Read his full comments below:
