Nancy Guthrie case takes twist as two men seen on roof after cops rule out body found
The search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its seventh week, and as investigators continue to scramble for answers, a new development has occurred.

It’s day 39 of the hunt for the missing mom of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, and law enforcement is still looking at every available lead.
The case has gripped America and the world, in part because of the high drama of the national response and the simple mystery of her practicallyΒ vanishing off the face of the earth, with no leads.
Officially, 40,000 tips have been received by investigators, rewards of $1.2 million have been offered, and public appeals by the family have also been made, but it seems investigators are nowhere near finding the 84-year-old. It comes afterΒ a mystery man who claimed he “saw Nancy 5 days ago” offered chilling new proof.
The latest development has seen two men on the roof of Nancy’s multi-million-dollar home, located in the Catalina Foothills area of Tucson, Arizona.
It is not clear what the duo was doing, but they seem to be scouring the roof for potential clues. The image was caught on a drone circling Nancy’s home.

This interesting development comes after a woman was discovered dead in a Phoenix, Arizona, canal on Saturday, March 7. Phoenix police confirmed they are examining the death after responding to the 27th Place and Grand Canal Trail area at around 7.40 a.m. on Saturday.
According to a police statement, “Details on the call indicated that an adult female was on the nearby canal bank and was unresponsive. When officers arrived, they located the woman, who was ultimately pronounced deceased on scene.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Office has since also confirmed the body is not related to Nancy’s case. They informed TMZ they have “not been notified of any connection reference that case to the Nancy Guthrie case.”
Police have not released further information about the woman or disclosed her identity. The body was recovered more than 100 miles from Nancy’s Tucson, Arizona, residence.
As for Nancy, the 84-year-old was last seen at her residence on January 31 following dinner with her daughter, Annie Guthrie. Nancy’s relatives reported her missing on February 1 when she didn’t show up for a scheduled virtual church service.
Volunteers have been assisting in the search for Nancy, with some observed retrievingΒ a large white barrel from a riverΒ near Nancy’s residence whilst looking for evidence. The two volunteers were seen using a grabber to extract the item from the water.
