Speed Skater Who Clashed with Snoop Dogg’s Olympics Security Says She Pictured Herself Being ‘Grabbed by the Neck, Thrown Out’
The three-time gold medalist was trying to get interviews with competitors when the rapper’s team allegedly came through

Timmer, who is acting as a media commentator for the Games, said that his security team pushed her against a wall, leading to a heated interaction
Snoop is attending the Games as Team USA’s first-ever honorary coach, a role that is dedicated to “celebrating and supporting America’s athletes off the field of play.”
Dutch speed skater and media commentator Marianne Timmer had an unpleasant interaction with Snoop Dogg’s security team while attending the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The 51-year-old athlete — who collected three gold medals while competing across three Olympic Games —opened up about the alleged encounter during an interview with Sportnieuws, an organization that she was working for while attending the men’s 1,000-meter speed skating raceon Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Timmer said that she was in the hallway trying to get interviews with some of the competitors when the 54-year-old rapper’s security team came through.

“I was standing against a wall, and one of the security guards pushed me even closer to the wall. I said, ‘Just act normal.’ It’s a really wide hall,” she said, estimating that it was more than 14 feet across, according to a translation of the Dutch publication.
She continued, alleging, “Then the guy came back, and I said, ‘What?! Do I have to go through that wall or something?’ “
“He came back and started acting all up against me. Then I said something mean back. ‘I’m not here waiting for Snoop Dogg, I’m waiting for Jennings de Boo. We want to see Joep [Wennemars, a Dutch contender who finished the race in fifth place]. We want to talk to Kjeld [Nuis, another Dutch contender, who finished in sixth] for a moment,’ ” she said.

According to Timmer, security at the event was strict.
“We saw a Dutchman being roughly led away by some very large security guards in the stands. I could just picture myself being grabbed by the neck and thrown out,” she told the outlet. “That would have been a great story.”

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper is attending the Games as Team USA’s first-ever honorary coach, an honor that was announced back in December 2025. A press release from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee stated that his role was dedicated to “celebrating and supporting America’s athletes off the field of play.”
“Team USA athletes are the real stars—I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines,” he added. “This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle. If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”

Snoop attended the Wednesday event to cheer on Team USA, including gold medalist, Jordan Stolz, who came in first ahead of Dutch speed skater Jenning de Boo in the race.
PEOPLE reached out to representatives at NBC and a representative for Snoop for comment on the alleged incident.
