‘Cherished’ woman, 32, found dead between two cars with stab wounds – as evil ex-husband pleads GUILTY to murder

A TWISTED killer has pleaded guilty to murdering his “cherished” ex-wife after she was found dead between two cars with stab wounds.

Nirodha Niwunhella, 32, was discovered in Cardiff on August 21 last year.

She was later declared dead at the scene by paramedics after suffering multiple sharp force injuries.

Her ex-husband Thisara Weragalage appeared at Newport Crown Court today where he pleaded guilty to murder.

The 37-year-old, who previously admitted having an article with a blade or point, was remanded into custody ahead of sentencing on February 20.

An inquest at Pontypridd Coroners’ Court heard how Nirodha was found between two cars in the Riverside area.
