Selena Gomez made the unusual move of sharing a makeup-free selfie on Instagram on Friday.
The 33-year-old entertainer-turned-entrepreneur used the app’s Stories feature to post an up-close snapshot while wearing a white tank top and with her dark hair pulled back.
It was a striking contrast to her typically glamorous posts and appearances, including Sunday’s Golden Globes.
And just one day earlier, on Thursday, Gomez posted three images showing off a full face of cosmetics from her Rare Beauty range.
The Texas-bred beauty accentuated her big brown eyes with a smokey palette and fluttery lashes.
Touting her brand’s latest product, she captioned, ‘An evening with Rare Beauty to celebrate our warm wishes powdered bronzer.’

The photos showed her glossy bob haircut in a side part and slicked with one side behind her ear.
Gomez flaunted her pert cleavage in a black tank top and promised her 415 million followers that there were ‘more pics to come.’
One month ago the makeup mogul shared a social media video confessing that ‘someone made me laugh’ by asking: ‘How do you shave your mustache?’
She responded to the query by explaining to her fans that the shadow above her upper lip was melasma.
Melasma is a skin condition in which discolored splotches are brought on by sun exposure, birth control or pregnancy.
Gomez confessed that she ‘totally’ understands why she was asked the question.
She also clarified that her melasma is ‘from the sun.’
The singer, who launched Rare Beauty in 2019, then advised fans to use sunscreen.

Gomez and Blanco tied the knot on September 27 in Santa Barbara.
In November the newlywed described the first weeks of marriage as ‘a dream’ in an interview with Zane Lowe.
And weeks before walking down the aisle the pop star couldn’t contain her excitement.
While discussing her wedding on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she beamed, flashing her megawatt smile when the subject was brought up.
Asked about planning the nuptials, she gushed, ‘It’s wonderful. I’m very lucky. It’s going well. I’m so excited.’
The lovebirds confirmed their relationship in December 2023 and got engaged a year later.
‘Forever starts now,’ Gomez wrote on social media at the time, showing off her sparkling diamond ring.

Chapter 1: The Architect of My Own Exile Family cruelty rarely arrives wearing a uniform. It doesn’t march in with drums or declare war with a trumpet blast. Instead, it shows up in silk slippers, holding a mug of warm coffee, and calls its cowardice “being practical.” At 5:12 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, the kitchen […]

The room tilted around me, slowly, as if the hardwood floor had suddenly become deep water beneath my shoes. Chapter 1: The Ringing of Indifference The world did not end with a bang, a crash, or a celestial roar. The biopsy report felt heavier than […]

“You’d rather marry a sixty-year-old woman than find a decent girl your own age.” That’s what my mother yelled at me in the middle of our dusty front yard, loud enough for my uncles, curious neighbors, and even the propane delivery man to hear every word clearly. My name is Travis Miller, I’m twenty years […]

Part 2 The porcelain coffee cup slipped from Chelsea’s hand. It hit the concrete driveway with a heavy crack, sending dark coffee splashing across her bare ankles and expensive slippers. She didn’t even react. Her eyes were locked on the first sheet of paper. It was an official notice from the bank. Revocation of mortgage […]
tt_Part 2: My 6-Year-Old Son Gave All His Savings to Help Our Elderly Neighbor
My six-year-old son gave away every dollar in his piggy bank to help our elderly neighbor after her house went dark. I thought his kindness ended there, until the next morning, when our yard was filled with piggy banks, patrol cars, and a secret our whole town had forgotten. I opened my front door because […]
