A man seen carrying a backpack in newly surfaced surveillance footage near Nancy Guthrie’s Catalina Foothills home on the night she vanished has been cleared of involvement in the 84-year-old’s disappearance, according to a report.
The clip, obtained by TMZ, showed a man wearing one backpack and hoisting a second one over a brick wall at 1:52 a.m., around the time a masked, armed man arrived at the home of the 84-year-old mother of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie.
The surveillance footage of the man with the backpacks was captured roughly 4.2 miles from Nancy’s home, according to the outlet.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department also noted on Thursday that all evidence, including the black glove found Wednesday, is being “submitted for analysis … as part of the investigative process.”
The Post was first to report the discovery of the glove, which the FBI found on a roadside near Nancy’s house, and eerily resembled those of her alleged kidnapper.
There will be a “higher presence of law enforcement activity going forward” in the area as authorities “continue to follow up on viable leads throughout the community … as more leads come in,” the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities in Arizona have been flooded with nearly 20,000 tips related to Nancy’s disappearance.
A new ransom note about the grandmother was also sent to TMZ Thursday morning.
Nancy was last seen on Jan. 31, when she was dropped off by her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, after dinner with him and her daughter, Annie.
