SNOWBOARDER Liu Jiayu was carried away on a stretcher following a horrific fall in the women’s halfpipe qualifiers at the Winter Olympics.
The sickening incident occurred at the end of her second run at the Livigno Snow Park in Valtellina.

Liu appeared to make a mistake on her third trick, which set her off-kilter for the fourth.
The toe edge of her board then got caught in the snow, flipping the Chinese athlete forwards awkwardly.
The 33-year-old landed on her neck at high force in a moment that horrified the crowd.
Medics rushed to her aid immediately while qualifying was suspended.
Music was also cut from the arena as spectators watched on in silence.
Paramedics eventually carried the Chinese athlete away on a stretcher.
The event was suspended for almost 10 minutes in total following the incident.
Liu – who took home silver at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang – finished 14th in qualifying after scoring 62.75 on her first run.
But she missed out on a spot in the final, with only the top 12 making it through to the event on Thursday.
Team USA star Chloe Kim topped the qualifying charts on Wednesday morning with a huge score of 90.25.
