KYLE Busch’s son has made a heartbreaking tribute to his late father after the NASCAR driver’s sudden death.

The 41-year-old died on Thursday after being hospitalized with a severe illness just days after celebrating a victory at the Ecosave 200.

Now, his heartbroken 11-year-old son Brexton has made a quiet but touching tribute to his father.

He updated the profile picture on his Instagram account to a photo of himself tightly hugging his dad who is pictured in full race-gear clutching his son and the chequered flag after a race win.

The picture was one of many from the paddock of Echo Park Speedway in February when Busch won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Brexton is following in his father’s footsteps being a talented racing driver with already a number of competition wins under his belt including the Golden Driller.

In a pinned post on his Instagram, the young driver shared a montage of his own racing highlights alongside those of his father.

“I’m chasing my dream of being just like my dad, a multi-time NASCAR Cup Series champion!” he wrote in the caption.

“We love to watch you accomplish your dreams!” his parents said in a joint post back in October 2023 when he won a race at Millbridge Speedway.

Just days before his father’s sudden death, Brexton celebrated his birthday and shared a touching family picture of himself, his parents Kyle and Samantha, and his younger sister Lennix.

The happy family memory has now been flooded with tributes and words of support by fans.

“Brexton, your dad’s impact on the world was massive, but nothing made him shine brighter than watching you race and grow,” one wrote.

“He will always be riding shotgun with you. Stay strong, buddy. We are all praying for you and your family.”

“Show the world who’s boss. Do it for dad!” another said.

“Praying for you buddy. You’re gonna be a legend one day and Daddy will see every moment of that. Rest in Peace,” a third commented.

On his son’s birthday, Busch took to Instagram and wrote what would be his final post, saying: “Happy Birthday Brexton!!! Your mom & I are so proud of who you’re turning out to be!

“You’re the best kid on & off the track, you amaze us every day,” Busch wrote on Instagram. Keep doing what you’re doing and there is no limit to what you’ll accomplish! Love you buddy!”

As the devastated motorsport community reels from the shocking news, Busch’s NASCAR team have also made a touching tribute to both the late driver and his son.

His iconic No8 car has officially been retired by the RCR Nascar team to be held until Brexton can one day take it over.

“Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond,”, the RCR team’s statement read.

“Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry.”

It concluded that in his honor, Brexton will be the only person who can drive it in the future.

“The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.”

There has also been a tremendous number of donations for Busch’s charity, The Bundle of Joy Fund.

The charity helps support families who are struggling with infertility after Busch and his wife welcomed Brexton in 2015 via IVF, and their daughter through a surrogate in 2022.

Busch’s cause of death has not yet been disclosed, but a heartbreaking call to 911 operators was released, explaining that he had been coughing up blood before being rushed to hospital.

He had also suffered through multiple health scares for weeks leading up to his death.
