As per a report in The Daily Mail, Police activity intensified on Tuesday near the home of Nancy Guthrie’s daughter, Annie Guthrie, as search and rescue teams examined nearby homes, businesses, and a rugged wash cutting through the neighborhood.
The search activity was also confirmed by Jacob Owens, a reporter for News 4 Tucson, who shared live video from the scene on X, showing officers searching the area near Annie Guthrie’s home.
Investigators were seen going door to door near Annie’s residence, an operation first reported by NewsNation journalist Brian Entin. Annie and her mother live a short distance apart in the same Tucson area.
The expanded effort followed the release of new doorbell camera images and video that have sharpened the focus of the investigation.

A neighbor confirmed that authorities searched a rocky wash between properties.
John Grove, 73, told the Daily Mail that investigators asked permission to examine the terrain near his home.
“The cops wanted to know if they could go through that wash next to my house. I said they could. I asked if it was related to that kidnapping and they said ‘we can’t tell you that,’” Grove said.
He added, “They’re playing their cards close to their chest. I just hope she didn’t get into any difficulties around here. It’s very harsh terrain. We had a guy the other day who just moved here and got lost and died. For someone like her, well, it wouldn’t end well.”
Savannah Guthrie Shares New Images With Public Plea
Earlier Tuesday, Savannah Guthrie shared newly released surveillance images tied to her mother’s disappearance.
The black-and-white images, taken from a doorbell camera, show a masked individual approaching Nancy’s home before the device was disabled.
Alongside the images, Savannah issued a direct plea to the public. “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” she wrote.

The footage, recorded in the early morning hours before the camera was destroyed, shows the individual realizing they were being recorded and attempting to obscure the lens.
Doorbell Camera Evidence and DNA Testing Draw Focus
As per a CNN report, Authorities confirmed that Nancy’s doorbell camera was disconnected at 1:47 a.m. on Feb. 1. Newly recovered footage shows an armed, masked person tampering with the device and using nearby plants to block the view.
Those same plants were later photographed on Nancy’s porch near blood evidence that authorities have confirmed belongs to her.
Investigators are also collecting DNA samples from individuals who worked at Nancy’s home. According to Fox News Digital, landscapers, pool cleaners, and other hired help have provided buccal swabs as part of the ongoing forensic review.
FBI Continues Search as Case Remains Unsolved

Nancy was taken from her $1 million Tucson home in the early hours of Sunday, Feb. 1. Despite the expanded searches and new evidence, officials say no suspects have been publicly identified.
The FBI recently launched a dedicated webpage outlining details of the case, including surveillance images, reward information, and Nancy’s physical description.
Authorities said the images were released publicly because neither the family nor law enforcement recognizes the individual shown.
Officials continue to describe the disappearance as an apparent abduction.
As of the time of publishing this story, no verified proof of life has been released, and the investigation remains active as authorities follow new leads across the area.
BREAKING: Person Detained For Questioning In Nancy Guthrie Case
As the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, continues, there is a major new update.
TMZ reports that a “person of interest has been detained by The Pima County Sheriff’s Office,” adding that the law enforcement source says “it is not a member of the Guthrie family.”
CNN added that “the person has not been charged,” and they were “located south of Tucson.” ABC News stated that “there’s no indication that the person who was detained is the figure seen in the newly released video footage.”
Pima County Sheriff’s Department Releases A Statement
“Earlier today, Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies detained a subject during a traffic stop South of Tuscan. The subject is currently being questioned in connection to the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
FBI Releases Photos of The Suspect
Earlier on Tuesday, Feb. 10, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office released photos of the suspect.
A video of the suspect was also shared by FBI Director Kash Patal, showing the person approaching Nancy’s door.
“Law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” Patel said in his post.
The video shows a male figure with a backpack wearing a ski mask and gloves approach Nancy’s home. Once he noticed the camera, he tore it off the door. Following the release of the photos and video, authorities received a heavy increase in calls, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department told CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Savannah Guthrie shared the images to her Instagram account, including a message writing, “Someone out there recognizes this person. We believe she is still out there. Bring her home.”
Activity Reported In Bitcoin Account Tied To Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance
In an interview with CNN, TMZ founder Harvey Levin revealed that there has been activity in a bitcoin account that was tied to the first alleged ransom note.
“I can only tell you that we have seen activity in the account,” Levin told CNN’s Erin Burnett. He did not provide an exact amount.
Local Tucson news outlet KGUN then added that the activity was for less than $300.
Police Search Area Near Annie Guthrie’s Home
On Tuesday, Feb. 10, The Daily Mail reported that there was heightened police activity near the home of Nancy’s daughter, Annie.
According to CNN, “Law enforcement have been knocking on doors in the neighborhood and asking whether they can look at their,” with residents said to be cooperating.
This comes after officials were at Annie’s house on Sunday, with the outlet adding that “bright flashes –– possibly from authorities taking photographs –– were observed through the windows.” Nancy was at Annie’s house the night before her disappearance.
