A SCHOOLGIRL was left fighting for life after a teen boy stomped on her head in a shocking attack – reportedly sparked because she refused to give him her number.

The 15-year-old was “lucky to be alive”, according to her distraught mom, after the horror assault in East Harlem was caught on camera.

The disturbing clip, which is too graphic to show, shows a 14-year-old boy slam the girl to the ground before stomping on her head in broad daylight.

Lucinda Arroyo, the girl’s mom, told The New York Post: “She’s very upset that her whole life has been completely flipped upside down right now.”

“This is not even bullying, this is outright assault – and he could have killed her.”

According to the NY Post, the brutal attack came after weeks of alleged harassment by the boy, who went to the same school and had been reportedly pestering her for attention.

The ninth-grade student was heading to squash practice when she was confronted at around 3.30pm on Monday.

Shocking footage appears to show the masked teen blocking her path and threatening: “I’ll knock the s**t out of you right now,” as someone behind the camera eggs him on.

As she tries to walk away, she tells him to “get the f**k away from me” – before he allegedly grabs her from behind and hurls her to the pavement.

He is then seen stomping on her head as she lies helpless on the ground.Man ‘murders three friends after they smeared face with birthday cake’

“She just wanted to walk away from him because he’s bad news,” her mom said.

“He just ran off and everybody’s just recording, and everybody’s just looking while this was happening to her.”

The mom said the video was widely shared on social media, leaving her daughter traumatised.

“She feels very exposed right now,” she explained.

“The video was passed around like entertainment, and that pissed me off the most.”

The girl suffered a concussion, bleeding and a possible brain injury, along with crushing headaches and a twisted neck.

She spent two days in hospital and is only now able to walk and eat again.

“I look at her and it’s a miracle that she’s home,” her mom said.

The teen allegedly woke up in the ambulance confused and unable to process what had happened, even after later seeing the footage.

Sources claim the attack may have been triggered when she refused to give the boy her phone number, though the motive remains unclear.

The suspected attacker, described as a “known troublemaker”, has since been arrested and charged with assault.

He was remanded into custody after appearing in a Manhattan youth court, where press were barred.

But his mother hit back, claiming her son was the real victim.

“She was being a bully to him, that’s it,” Selma Allen said.

Allen also denied her son was trying to get the girl’s number and claimed: “It’s retaliation because she pushed him first.”
