After the two-time NASCAR champion won, he was greeted by an excited Brexton at the finish line. Kyle originally posted the photo on his Instagram that day, writing, “No. 68🏁 Pumped that @brextonbusch finally got to be here, I know this one means a LOT to him!”

Kyle, who shares Brexton and daughter Lennix, 4, with wife Samantha, died on Thursday, just hours after the Busch family shared that he was hospitalized with a “severe illness.”

“On behalf of the Busch family, everyone at Richard Childress Racing and all of NASCAR, we are devastated to announce the sudden and tragic passing of Kyle Busch,” the joint statement from NASCAR, the Busch family and Richard Childress Racing read.

Kyle and Samantha have been longtime advocates for IVF, and welcomed Brexton in May 2015. Years later, they became a family of four when Lennix arrived via surrogate in May 2022.
