“I hadn’t experienced grief like it and it was awful. I missed him so much. I found it particularly hard coming home from a day’s filming and him not being there. It was tough.”
To keep Bronson close, Natalie had a necklace made containing his chest hair. She wears it constantly, except while filming scenes as Moira. “He is by my heart,” she explained, highlighting the depth of their connection.
A Mysterious Vision Leads to a New Companion
Despite the grief, Natalie experienced a remarkable vision last summer. She saw a “big blonde dog running through the woods” alongside her. Weeks later, she discovered a Spanish animal rescue ad featuring a mastiff that looked exactly like the dog in her dream.
She recalled:
“It was as if Bronson was telepathic and sending me a message. I rang them up and while I couldn’t meet him because of work, I saw lots of videos of him. Because of the dream, I knew this dog was for me.”
Buddy Joins the Family
After four-and-a-half months of waiting, Natalie’s new pup, Buddy, arrived in the UK by boat in November. The new companion has helped fill the gap left by Bronson’s passing, giving Natalie comfort and joy once more.
