Lori Loughlin Still ‘Extremely Angry’ with Ex Mossimo Giannulli as They Move Ahead with Divorce: Sources (Exclusive)

A second source tells PEOPLE that the former ‘Full House’ star and her estranged husband live ‘separate lives’ since separating after 28 years of marriage

Lori Loughlin harbors resentment towards ex Mossimo Giannulli, a source tells PEOPLE.

“Lori is still extremely angry with him,” the source says of the estranged exes, whose split PEOPLE confirmed in October. Since parting ways, Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, have lived “separate lives,” according to a second source.

Regardless of how Loughlin feels, a third insider says fashion designer Giannulli has a high opinion of the actress: “He thinks she’s a lovely person and an incredible mom,” says the insider, adding, “He wants everything resolved quietly.”

Last October, PEOPLE confirmed that the couple were calling it quits after nearly three decades of marriage. Loughlin’s representative said at the time that the two were “taking a break from their marriage,” adding “there are no legal proceedings at this time.”

Not long after the announcement, another source told PEOPLE that their marriage never fully recovered from the strain of being embroiled in the College Admissions scandal.

In May 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud after they were accused of paying $500,000 to a college consultant who falsely designated their daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli as recruits to the University of Southern California’s crew team. Loughlin and Giannulli served two months and five months in prison, respectively.

“Things have never been the same after weathering the college admission fallout and the prison sentences together,” the source said, adding that the two were “moving on with separate priorities.”

“Lori feels betrayed,” the source added. “They’re in very different places right now, and it’s unlikely that they’ll find their way back together.”

Loughlin isn’t the only one still upset with Giannulli. In late October, an insider said that all of her friends are also furious with him.

“She has a good group of friends. A lot of her friends are also divorced and have gone through the same thing she currently is,” the source told PEOPLE. “They’re rallying behind her, and they do not like him.”

PEOPLE reached out to Giannulli and a Loughlin representative for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

On Oct. 20, Loughlin’s former Full House costar John Stamos didn’t hold back when getting candid about her breakup with Giannulli on the Good Guys podcast.

“She put up with a lot over the years of this guy,” Stamos said.

“She’s just devastated. For a girl who has lived her life really well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife — I know all this for a fact — to be thrown into now this separation and, you know, exploding, blowing up her family this way… I just hate to see her go through this. I really do.”
