“We just can’t believe it…” — Jeremy Clarkson is left overwhelmed as the Hawkstone Farmers Choir he founded storms into the Britain’s Got Talent final, turning a group of real farmers into a nationwide phenomenon no one saw coming.

JEREMY Clarkson couldn’t hide his excitement after the Hawkstone Farmers Choir he founded made it through to the Britain’s Got Talent final.

The pair were attending the farming festival at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire this weekend.

Earlier in the day, the choir’s performance was aired live at the festival, with the crowd singing along.

The group’s official account replied to Jeremy’s video, saying: “We just can’t believe it. Thank you all so much. Thank you for believing in us.”

The choir was created by Jeremy Clarkson as part of an ad campaign for his Hawkstone beer brand.

It started as a group of real farmers singing in Hawkstone adverts before evolving into a proper choir that continued independently because members enjoyed it so much.

The choir itself is made up of genuine hard working farmers and agricultural workers from around the UK.

Tonight, the choir wowed the judges with a moving rendition of Pompeii by Bastille, easily securing a place in the final following the public vote.

Hawkstone Farmers Choir will now compete alongside the likes of Rafferty Coope and Fabian Fox in next week’s live final.

They have already hinted Jeremy could join them for the final – albeit from the audience.

Choir member Ben Brooke said: “I don’t think BGT will be his thing . . . but who knows? Maybe he’ll be in the audience. You never know.”

While singer Katryna Shell said having Jeremy’s backing has been amazing, as he embraces the highs and lows of farming life.

“He is exactly how he is on TV,” said the mum-of-three. “He’s so nice. He’s genuinely interested in our journey.”

The singers are currently among the favourites to win the show and perform at the Royal Variety Performance for the King next year.
