we will pay.” A desperate Savannah Guthrie just posted a chilling video, standing beside her siblings, begging for the safe return of her 84-year-old mother. No details. No proof of life. One letter allegedly mentioned her mother’s Apple Watch — and even a specific detail about her property. The Federal Bureau of Investigation says every tip is being investigated. Three public pleas. Mysterious deadlines. And still no answers.

Savannah Guthrie receives kidnapper’s message, begs for return of mother: ‘We will pay’

“Today” host Savannah Guthrie posted a video on social media Saturday to inform her mother’s kidnapper that the family has received the message and is willing to pay for the 84-year-old woman’s return.

“We received your message and we understand,” Savannah Guthrie said in a video next to brother, Camron, and sister, Annie. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace.

“This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”

There was no explanation on what the message was.

According to NBC News, at least three news outlets have received a possible ransom note.

Guthrie, per The Associated Press, was referencing a message that was sent to the Tucson-based television station KOLD on Friday, according to Kevin Smith, a spokesperson for the FBI office in Phoenix.

KOLD said it received an email related to the Guthrie case on social media that day but declined to share specific details about its contents as the FBI conducted its review.

The station was one of multiple press outlets that received alleged ransom letters during the week. At least one letter made monetary demands and established Thursday evening and the following Monday evening as deadlines.

In a news conference Thursday, law enforcement officials declined to affirm that the letters were credible but said all tips were being investigated seriously. They also said one letter referenced Nancy Guthrie’s Apple watch and a specific feature of her property.

The video released Saturday was the third this week that pleaded with potential kidnappers.

She weighed less at FIVE than she did at TWO. That was the devastating reality investigators say defined the short life of Kinsleigh Welty, found unresponsive inside an Indianapolis home in April 2024. Court documents describe years of alleged confinement, restricted food, and a childhood that never had a chance. Two adults have accepted plea deals connected to her death — but the most serious charges, including murder, still hang over her mother as a trial approaches.
