TWO brothers are being hailed as “young heroes” for using Alexa to help call 999 after their mum started having a seizure.

Matthias, five, and Lucas, three, were at their home in Newton Aycliffe when their mum, Gabriella, started having worrying symptoms.

Using the Amazon virtual assistant, brave Matthias rushed into action and instructed Alexa to call their dad who phoned up an ambulance.

The two boys have now been given certificates for their “heroic” actions.

Gabriella was alone with her boys at their Durham home when she said to them that “mummy’s not feeling very well” and went to lie down.

Her condition soon took a turn for the worse as her kids sprung into action.
