Prince Harry Becomes Emotional as He Says Tabloids Made Meghan Markle’s Life “An Absolute Misery”

Prince Harry became choked up as he detailed the “absolute misery” his wife Meghan Markle lived with during his testimony in the trail against the publisher of The Daily Mail.

Prince Harry is coming to the defense of his wife during an emotional battle.

During the final day of his testimony in London’s High Court in his case against Associated Newspapers Limited—publisher of The Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday—the Duke of Sussex emotionally detailed the toll scrutiny from the publications have had on his wife Meghan Markle.

“By standing up here and taking a stand against them, this has continued to come after me,” Harry, 41, said in court on Jan. 21, according to People. “And they have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord.”

During the two-hour testimony, Harry—who is suing the publisher alongside Elton John and David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost and more—further alleged his lawsuits has only increased the negative coverage of him and Meghan.

“Through the course of this litigation, it’s only got worse, not better,” the 41-year-old—who shares children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, with Meghan—explained as he fought back tears via People. “It’s fundamentally wrong to put all of us through all of this again. What’s required is an apology and some accountability. It’s a horrible experience.”
