BLUE SKIES AND TAILWINDS, MAJOR. THE MILITARY COMMUNITY MOURNS THE LOSS OF ALEX KLINNER. ๐บ๐ธ On March 12, a KC-135 Stratotanker went down in Iraq, taking with it six brave souls who served their nation with honor. Among them was Major John A. “Alex” Klinner, a 33-year-old pilot from Auburn, Alabama, who leaves behind a wife and three young children. Alex was more than just a Major; he was a steady hand in the cockpit and a beacon of love to his family. Less than a week into his deployment, his watch came to an unexpected and tragic end. While the world continues to turn, for the Klinner family, everything has changed. We lower our flags in spirit for these six airmen, whose courage will never be forgotten.
