Emergency services rushed to the scene and the woman was ambulanced to hospital.
But doctors could do nothing to save the Brit tourist.
She was declared dead at the Corfu General Hospital.
The Corfu port authority launched an investigation into the death.

The Greek island is hugely popular with British tourists for its pristine beaches and stunning scenery.
It comes after a teenage boy was left fighting for his life after a horror quad bike crash in Corfu.

It comes just months after a 44-year-old was found dead in the sea after he “appeared to be have been hit” on his head.
The man’s body was discovered off the island of Spetses.
