SOPHIA KIRKBY has revealed she is dating a FAN who slid into her DMs and travelled 600 MILES to meet her.

The Winter Olympics’ self-styled “most eligible bachelorette” insisted she wasn’t only looking success at the Games but also for LOVE in Milan-Cortina.

The American, 24, is a three-time world championship medallist in the women’s doubles luge but was competing at Olympic level for the first time.

She and partner Chevonne Forgan missed out on the medals earlier this week after finishing fifth in the standings, with Italian pair Andrea Voetter and Marion Oberhofer winning gold.

Dajana Eitberger and Magdalena Matschina of Germany finished second with bronze going to Austrian pair Selina Egle and Lara Michaele Kipp.

But that hasn’t dampened her spirits with the USA star flooded with DMs since her arrival at the Olympic village.

And she has now revealed the lengths one suitor has gone to date her.

Speaking to the New York Post, she said: “He is a fan that jumped into my DMs two weeks ago.

“He said, ‘Hey, I just found out I have the 13th to 16th off. Would it be weird if I came and booked an Airbnb five minutes from you?’

“And I was like, ‘Go ahead.’ He’s actually from the United States. He’s just currently living in the UK. And he flew here just to see me.”

THE world’s best winter sports athletes have descended upon northern Italy.

Milan-Cortina plays host to the 25th edition of the Winter Olympic Games from February 6 to 22 – and here’s how to watch it all LIVE.

NBC is the official Olympic broadcaster in the United States.

The network will show action daily on it’s stable of platforms – including USA Network and Peacock.

A flight from London to Milan takes about two hours and covers 600 miles.

She continued: “I’m fortunate that I’m one of the countries that gets to stay in the Olympic Village.

“The majority of my competitors I saw leave today, but fortunately for me, Team USA is one of the few countries that pays a premium for us to be here the entire time.

“So I’m just gonna have fun. It’s my vacation time.”

Kirkby took to her Instagram stories earlier today to reveal she had actually had TWO dates.

It was a Valentine’s Day update with her selfie caption along with: “Busy day today: two interviews, two dates.”

Hours later she then uploaded a picture of a mystery man as they lounged in what looked like a spa area with an indoor pool.

Only his green shorts and tattoos on his legs were visible in the post.

She also told KTSM that she would be using popular dating apps like Tinder to see who she could match up with and meet.

She added: “There’s going to be lots of tourists.

‘I’m hoping to go on lots of dates and I’ll be opening up my dating platforms like Hinge and Tinder.”
