EX-EMT ARMED AND CONFRONTS EX-GIRLFRIEND’S FAMILY 💥 Brian Lanzim, 37, a former firefighter and EMT, drove nearly eight hours from Maine to New Jersey armed with guns, body armor, and over 20 ammunition magazines after his longtime girlfriend ended their relationship and obtained a restraining order. Authorities say Lanzim drove across the lawn toward police, then exited his SUV wearing tactical gear and carrying a handgun, attempting to enter the locked home where his ex-girlfriend and her family were sheltering. Officers opened fire, hitting him in the pelvis and hand. He survived. Prior to the standoff, Lanzim allegedly sent threatening messages including: “If your father is there, I’m going to have to take him out,” and “If you stand between me and my kids, I’m going to do what I need to do,” indicating custody disputes fueled his rage. He now faces multiple attempted murder charges, along with weapons violations, burglary, and terroristic threats.
