“We Thought We Were Stuck Forever” — Terrifying Moment Riders Dangle Hundreds of Feet in the Air on Six Flags Attraction
A terrifying “technical delay” on a Six Flags ride in Georgia left riders panicking, crying and praying as they were stuck dangling over 200 feet in the air last week, wild footage shows.
A video posted to social media captured frightened riders, including kids, stranded in their seats, roughly 260 feet in the air, on the SkyScreamer swing ride at Six Flags Over Georgia on June 14, WSB-TV reported.

“Why the f–k are we stuck up here, bruh?” one rider said in the video. “Yeah, this is my last day at Six Flags. I’m not doing this sh-t no more.”
Content creator David Early told the outlet that he and a friend were on the SkyScreamer when the ride suddenly came to a halt, leaving them stuck for roughly 10 minutes.
“For us to just be dangling 200 feet in the air, just stuck, was very, very terrifying,” Early said.
His friend started to panic as the ride — which normally rotates around the park — stopped moving. Children also began crying during the chaos.

“She did start panicking and getting scared and cry. I just started praying to God, Jesus Christ to be exact,” Early said.
“They [were] all just crying. I was praying to Jesus, making sure that everything is going to be okay,” he said.
The ride eventually resumed, returning passengers safely to the ground.
A Six Flags Over Georgia spokesperson originally told the outlet they believed the video circulating on social media is from 2025 and was only posted recently.
The park, however, later confirmed the 10-minute stop on June 14 and described it as a “technical delay.”

“The safety of our guests and team members is a top priority. The ride experienced a technical delay (similar to a check engine light) that paused its operation,” the spokesperson said.
“Its safety system performed as designed, keeping all guests safe. Following a complete systems check, the ride was returned to its loading position, and guests exited the ride.”
Six Flags Over Georgia did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Despite the horrifying incident, Early said he returned to the park to ride the SkyScreamer without any malfunctions.

One guest on the SkyScreamer told the outlet she will think twice before hopping on an amusement park ride.
“It makes me change my mind about getting on them,” Dowd said.
