Police have charged three teenagers with the murder of a 16-year-old girl who died in a stabbing in Leeds.

Chloe Watson Dransfield was found unconscious at an address on Kennerleigh Avenue in Austhorpe in the early hours of Saturday morning.

She was taken to hospital where she died shortly later.

Police have since confirmed she had been found with stab wounds and have charged three young people with her murder.

Kayla Smith, aged 18, of Kennerleigh Avenue and Archie Rycroft, aged 19, of Middleton Park Road in Leeds are both charged with murder and will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday. They were remanded in custody.

A 17-year-old boy who cannot be named because of his age has also been charged. West Yorkshire Police confirmed all three self-defined as white British.

A further man, who is 18 and from Leeds, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.

An 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
