A moronic moment was captured on video of a Chicago commuter laughing as he hung his body out of a speeding train and egging on another to join in on all the ‘fun’.
Footage uploaded to X on Sunday showed a man in all-black attire hanging halfway out the window of a high-speed train with one hand, while holding a pack of Swisher Sweets cigars in the other.
While the interaction between the reckless passenger and the man filming may be staged, the very dangerous stunt appears very real.
The distressing clip begins with the cameraman walking towards the doors to the next train car when he is shocked by the man in black, who is rocking back and forth out the window.
The passenger is seen smiling, singing, and shaking his head in the wind as cars and buildings fly by behind him.
‘Try this s**t. This s**t some fun,’ said the man hanging out the window with a grin.
‘There’s tears in my eyes,’ he said, because of the wind. ‘There ain’t nothing like being alive.’
At the end of the footage, the man quickly pulls himself forward, as what appears to be a white wall approaches him.

Users online were, to say the least, disappointed and took to social media to comment on the stupidity of the act.
‘What the hell is this dude on? Does he really not value life at all?’ one user wrote.
‘Highly stupid. Didn’t even know those windows opened,’ another added.
‘It’s all fun & games until he falls out & his family files a huge lawsuit that taxpayers get the bill for,’ a third said.
It is unclear how the passenger was able to open the window, as reports claim that Chicago trains do not allow passengers access to the windows.
The Chicago Transit Authority told the Daily Mail: ‘The reckless, illegal, and potentially deadly behavior demonstrated by this individual could have resulted in grave injury or death.’
‘CTA works diligently to keep our riders safe, prevent injuries and reduce delays to service, but a small number of riders make choices that threaten their well-being. This individual’s behavior is neither smart nor safe.’
‘Anyone who sees someone engaging in such behavior should immediately report it by calling 911 or alerting a nearby CTA employee.’

The ordeal chillingly echoes a prank that went horribly in 2023 when a man fell out of a car window while moving at 55mph.
Noah Kindl was hanging at the handgrip as the car was driving on a road in Pennsylvania.
Footage showed Kindl giving the cameraman the middle finger moments before the handgrip snaps and sends him falling backwards.
