A 21-year-old college student was reported missing in Texas earlier this week after she failed to show up for class, according to multiple local news outlets.
Brianna Arango, who attends Southern Methodist University, was last seen on campus on Thursday, Feb. 12, around 12:30 p.m. local time, near Harold Simmons Hall on Airline Road, Fox affiliate KDFW, CBS News and NBC affiliate KXAS reported.
The 21-year-old missed a class at 1 p.m., and her family became concerned when she failed to meet up with a relative as planned that afternoon.
By 3:30 p.m. that same day, relatives reported her missing, according to the outlets.
Arango was wearing a white shirt and blue sweatpants and had been carrying a beige tote bag.

The Southern Methodist University Police Department told CBS News that officers were “actively working to locate Brianna and are treating this as a matter of concern.”
The private research university in Dallas has more than 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students, according to the school’s website. (A spokeswoman did not immediately provide further comment to PEOPLE.)
