The frantic search for Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie, has stretched into a thirteenth day.
Investigators were seen erecting a tent outside the crime scene on Thursday morning as Savannah Guthrie posted a heartbreaking video for her missing mom.
Guthrie’s neighbors have been asked to hand over personal security footage while Arizona authorities have been flooded with nearly 20,000 tips related to the 84-year-old’s disappearance.
A chilling new ransom note regarding Nancy Guthrie was sent to TMZ Thursday morning, with the writer complaining that they are “not being taken seriously” — as Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos is accused of blocking the FBI from access to key physical evidence.
Nancy was last seen at her Tucson, Ariz., home on Jan. 31, when she was dropped off by her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, after she had dinner with him and her daughter, Annie.

Father of abducted California girl Polly Klass reveals eerie similarities to Nancy Guthrie case
The father of a girl kidnapped from a California slumber party and found dead in a shallow grave two months later pointed to the eerie similarities between the case and the search for Nancy Guthrie.
Marc Klaas’ daughter, Polly Klaas, was abducted during a sleepover with two friends at her mother’s house in Petaluma, Calif. on Oct. 1, 1993.
“It’s triggering,” Klaas told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Thursday. “It’s triggering because there are so many similarities between what happened in our case and what’s happening here.”
Klaas pointed out that both cases were conducted by an “overwhelming” joint effort of local law enforcement and the FBI.
“The law enforcement presence in both of these cases were overwhelming. And the fact that we’re going days on end without any new information, without new suspects,” Klaas said. “What it does to you internally is it breaks you down. It takes you from a rational human being to somebody that is completely overwhelmed by fear and by anger.”
Klaas says the toll the missing person’s case has on a family member includes the inability to eat, sleep and only worry for their loved ones.
“The longer these things go on, the more tenuous this becomes,” he said. “But you still have to hold on to (hope), you have to hold on to it until the end, whatever the end happens to be.”
Richard Allen Davis was convicted of first-degree murder with special circumstances in Polly’s death. He was sentenced to death and is currently on death row at the San Quentin State Prison outside of San Francisco.

FBI wants to talk to man seen on video with backpack near Nancy Guthrie’s home on night she vanished
Authorities are looking to question a man seen carrying a backpack in newly surfaced surveillance footage near Nancy Guthrie’s Catalina Foothills home on the night she vanished, according to reports.
The clip, obtained by TMZ, showed a man wearing a backpack and hoisting another one above a brick wall around 1:53 a.m, before a masked, armed man arrived at the home of the 84-year-old mother of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie.
The surveillance footage of the man with the backpacks was captured roughly five miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home, according to the outlet.
The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office are reviewing the video because the man appears to be dressed similarly to the alleged kidnapper captured in separate doorbell camera footage at Guthrie’s home, a source close to the investigation told Fox News Digital.
Authorities have not yet determined if the man is in any way related to the Guthrie case.

Chilling new ransom note has warning for Nancy Guthrie’s family
A chilling new ransom note regarding Nancy Guthrie has been sent to TMZ, with the writer complaining that they are “not being taken seriously.”
The note, received at 11 a.m. ET Thursday, is said to have been sent by the same person who sent another letter Wednesday demanding one bitcoin in return for information about her disappearance, TMZ reported.
The unidentified author demands the bitcoin, worth around $65,000, so that they can lie low amid fears of retaliation, the outlet reported.
The author also expressed fears he might be “incriminated like that Carlos guy,” referencing Carlos Palazuelos, a FedEx delivery driver who was detained and later released without charge Tuesday in connection with Nancy’s disappearance.

Key giveaways in Nancy Guthrie case that show suspected kidnapper is not ‘a trained assassin’: former FBI special agent
The masked thug suspected of abducting Nancy Guthrie made amateurish moves that prove he was likely not a “trained assassin,” a former FBI bigwig said — as he predicted a black glove discovered near the 84-year-old’s home could be a “margin of victory” for investigators.
Retired FBI supervisory special agent James Gagliano said the way the suspect was carrying a holstered gun when he was caught on surveillance video approaching Guthrie’s home was unlike anything he’d seen before.

Between Feb. 2 and 6, the morning show averaged nearly 3.32 million viewers, surpassing ABC’s “Good Morning America” at about 2.91 million and 1.84 million for CBS’ “CBS Mornings,” the data shows.
“Today” dominated the morning airwaves, grabbing 41% of viewers and leading its rivals both overall and in the crucial 25-to-54 demo.
Investigators find black glove during hunt for Nancy Guthrie’s kidnappers — and The Post was there
TUCSON, Arizona — FBI agents have recovered a black glove from a roadside near Nancy Guthrie’s house — potentially a major clue in the search for the masked thug who is suspected of abducting the 84-year-old woman, The Post can exclusively reveal.
Detectives found the clothing item, which resembles the pair worn by the armed perpetrator caught on video, about one and a half miles from the home of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother.

Video and photos show at least one member of the FBI Evidence Response team pulling the glove from the low, desert shrubbery in Guthrie’s secluded desert suburb at the edge of Tucson.
Susan Constantine, a human behavior investigator, says newly released FBI surveillance footage in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie reveals distinct physical traits that could help identify the suspect. In her breakdown of the video, she points to body proportions, eye structure and gait, estimating the person to be around 5-foot-10 to 5-foot-11 and physically fit, and raises questions about whether the fully packed backpack seen in the footage aligns with a robbery.
